Barbara Keeley could be facing a dual threat from the Tories and the Brexit party in the upcoming General Election

In 2017, Keeley won the seat with 26,046 votes over Conservatives 17,667.

However, with Labour struggling to make an impact nationally Keeley’s majority may be under pressure.

The polls will open on Thursday December 12 giving voters the opportunity to choose who they want to represent them as their next MP in Parliament.

The candidates to stand for Worsley and Eccles South include the following:

Arnold Saunders Conservative and European Parliamentary Conservative candidate for the North West region.

Barbara Keeley, Labour. Was elected for Worsley in May 2005, then re-elected in May 2015 and again in 2017 as Worsley and Eccles South MP once the constituency boundaries changed.

Joe Johnson Liberal Democrats and Salford University Politics student.

Daniel Towers Green party

Seamus Martin The Brexit party

In the 2016 referendum the constituency voted  Leave.
