Trams are running again between Weaste and Eccles after a disruption yesterday between around 10am and 5pm.
After enquiring about the situation, a TFGM spokesperson said:
“On Monday, 7 October, at around 10am, there was a points failure on the Eccles Metrolink line. This meant services could not operate between Weaste and Eccles. We updated all our customer communications, including the website and social media channels. Tram tickets were accepted on local bus services, and replacement and additional bus services were also put in place to help minimise disruption to customers’ journeys.
“Engineers worked to fix the problem throughout the day. The repairs were tested thoroughly and services resumed at around 5:40pm. We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused while these emergency repairs were carried out.”

Services are continuing as normal from now on.
