Police appeal for information following a collision in Salford where two men died

Officers were called to reports of a collision on Sunday 6 October in the afternoon, on Bury Old Road, Salford.

A silver Vauxhall Astra had collided with road sign, resulting in the car hitting a nearby wall.

There were two men in the car, one man died at the scene. The second man was taken to hospital and despite the best efforts of emergency staff, he was also pronounced dead a short time later.

Anyone with information or dash cam footage of the car should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741 or 101, quoting incident 288 of 06/10/2019.
