Salford Red Devils have confirmed they have now sold over 6000 tickets for Saturday’s much anticipated Super League final against St Helens.
The Reds booked their place in the Old Trafford show piece with an emphatic 28-4 win over last year’s champions, Wigan Warriors.
The club have been allocated the East side of the ground, with an initial allocation of 8500 tickets, with little over 2000 remaining.
The clubs box office has been non stop, both in person and on phone, since tickets went on sale on Sunday morning, with supporters queuing as early as 5 am to secure there seats for the biggest game in the clubs history.
Staff members such as Jay, who has worked at the box office for over two years, have been working overtime over the last day and he expects more of the same as Saturday approaches.
“It’s been pretty much non-stop since Sunday morning, it’s never ending.

“You put the phone down then you pick it up again, I’ve never seen anything like it,”
The club will be hoping to win the Super League for the first time and Jay admits the buzz around the club is like nothing he has ever experienced.
“I’ve been here for over two years now and the atmosphere is just something different.
Queued for two hours for Grand Final tickets this morning. Worth every minute to see Salford in the Grand Final.#bringonthesalford

“We’re all hoping for a positive result come Saturday.”
The final is a stark contrast from the position Ian Watson’s men found themselves in last season, finishing second bottom of the Super League and therefore entered the league qualifiers, where a win over French outfit Toulouse ensured Super League status again for this season.
So, grand final tickets sorted! Still feels like a dream… who’s got theirs??

The Red Devils will be hoping for third time lucky against Saturday’s opponents St Helen’s, having been on the end of a defeat on both occasions when meeting the Yorkshire side this season, losing 4-26 at the AJ Bell stadium in February before a narrow 32-30 defeat in May.
There are now just over 2000 tickets for Salford’s allocation remaining. Tickets can either be bought in person at the AJ Bell Stadium, online or by contacting the ticket office on 01617861570.
The final kicks of at 18:00 on Saturday at Old Trafford.
