A former Salford councillor has died after being hit by a car.
Andrew Cheetham, 67, was crossing Walkden Road in Worsley, when he was hit by a car around 9.30pm on Wednesday 25 September.
He suffered multiple injuries and was taken to Salford Royal Hospital. He died on September 28th.

Mr Cheetham was the Conservative representative for Boothstown and Ellenbrook for two terms. He was a candidate in the 2018 local elections in Swinton.
During his time as a Conservative Salford councillor, he was his party’s finance spokesman.
Political figures from all sides have expressed their condolences.
