The Velvet Shakes will be performing at the Whiskey Jar at 6 pm, playing a range of their old and new music including new song “We are not alone”.
Lead singer Josh Bithell said of the track: “It’s all about mental health and the issues that come with that, and then we were asked to do this festival. I feel like it’s meant to be.”
The festival sold out on March 21, with a total of 227 tickets being picked up by excited music fans.
All the money raised will go to Manchester Mind which helps to raise awareness about mental health through support, information and training services.
Mr Bithell said: “Raising awareness is the one thing that we need to focus on because a lot of people try to keep their mental health to themselves and if you feel comfortable talking about it then it’s only going to be a good thing.”
