A Salford group that is helping local mums who are keen to set up their own businesses has celebrated the grand opening of its new business centre.
Women with Wings, based in the heart of Little Hulton, opened for business on March 8.
Founder of Women with Wings and owner of Jasmin’s Cakes, Jasmin Hassan, said: “We’ve had such a good turn out and having the event on our two-year anniversary and on International Women’s Day has made it even better.”
Many current and potential members of Women with Wings attended the event, as well as a number of industry experts who are in partnership with the group.
Eric McBean, enterprise manager at ForViva, said: “Women with Wings is a great organisation locally that supports women who do not speak English as their first language. We’ve been supporting them since the beginning and it’s great to see their progression so far.”
Jasmin and her team help women reach their goals by helping them to gain the qualifications and skills necessary.
The new building includes private rooms for rent as office space, meetings or training. The centre also has wi-fi access and free refreshments.
