Salford Foodbank is looking for a new location due to a lack of food storage at their current home.
The charity is currently based in Mocha Pararde in Lower Broughton, which has been the charity’s main storage space for the past five and a half years, but now Salford Foodbank manger Mark Whittington has confirmed the location is too small and the charity now needs more space.

In a social media video, the manager stated: “We have outgrown the building, and we are now struggling to cope with the amount of food we have to store in here.”
Whittington also expressed his doubts about the longevity of Salford Foodbank’s current location looking on to the near future.
He added: “The area of Mocha Parade is going to be redeveloped at some point, so we don’t know how much longer this building is going to be here.
“With that in mind, we are looking for a new, suitable main Foodbank premises that we can operate from that will be bigger and better for us, and that we will also be to look at the possibility of supporting people in other ways beyond just the emergency of food provision.”
Although no potential locations have been confirmed yet, Whittington has asked followers and supporters of the cause to get in touch with ideas.
