Salford City are once again in the national headlines after an incredible strike during the Ammies 3-1 defeat against Dover Athletic has become a goal of the year candidate.
David Beckham, who just recently purchased a 10 percent share of Salford City, made his first visit to his team’s home ground on Saturday afternoon in time to see a wonder goal.
While the former England and Manchester United legend was sat in the stands at the Peninsula Stadium, a casual observer may have wondered if he was actually on the pitch for Salford City’s first half goal.
"Quick, David Beckham is in the stands, how can I steal the show?"

Dennis Politic, currently on loan from Bolton, scored a 45-yard lob that resembled Beckham’s famous long distance strike from 1996, when Manchester United’s number seven scored from distance at Wimbledon in the Premier League.
Social media went into meltdown on Saturday afternoon after the video of the incredible goal began to circulate on Twitter.
Take a bow @dennis_politic – I hope David Beckham didn't try to tell you his goal was better! ? #bwfc https://t.co/k0dOEDjzcD

So Salford City take the lead with a goal from near the halfway line. Who writes David Beckham's scripts?

Score a goal reminiscent of David Beckham's iconic long-distance strike against Wimbledon with the Manchester United legend watching in the stands. 18-year-old Dennis Politic will never forget this day. https://t.co/96UkXKm10H
