The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for this Saturday and Sunday, including here in Salford.
Snow and sleet are forecasted to take place from midday on Saturday until 10am on Sunday morning.
A yellow alert has been issued from the Met Office for snow and ice this weekend.
It warns that winds are set to strengthen Saturday, as rain and hill snow spreads east. Temperatures will be highs of just 5C and reach lows that feel like -4C.
Snow levels could be as deep as 10-20cm with lower levels of snow reaching 2cm to 5cm.
The chilly weather will continue through to Sunday but will feel less cold with temperatures reaching highs of 6C.

A statement from the Met Office said: “There is a risk of snow developing with strong southeasterly winds affecting northern UK on Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning,
“The snow could be heavy at times, especially over hills where blizzards may develop, and is likely to drift in strong winds.”
“Winds strengthen Saturday, as rain and hill snow spreads east. Rain clears to sunshine and showers Sunday and feeling less cold. Starting dry Monday, but wet and windy later.”
Monday will start dry but will turn wet and windy later.
