Super League side Salford Red Devils announced the signing of Wales’ and former Widnes Vikings forward Gil Dudson on a two-year contract, yesterday afternoon.
The Welshman has been capped 15-times by his country and started his career coming through the ranks at North Wales Crusaders, before moving to Wigan, where he made almost 50 appearances and also picked up a 2013 Challenge Cup Winners medal. Dudson then spent the last three seasons with Widnes until their relegation last September.

While representing his country Dudson was introduced to current Devils coach Ian Watson, who speaks very highly of the front row.
“Gil is a player I’ve known for a long time through the Welsh national side and is a player who always gives 100 per cent,”
Watson said.
“He has a good skill level but more importantly as a front-rower he has an aggression and competitive attitude to win his battles which is what we need in our middles.
“I know Gil will come in and add to the ‘team first’ mentality that we have here at Salford Red Devils. I can’t wait for him to get started.”
Dudson expressed his excitement in joining Salford and will be looking to make a good impression for when the season starts in February.
Thanks for the messages excited for the next chapter @SalfordDevils ????
