Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that a 26-year-old man has died following a collision with the central reservation in Eccles.
The crash happened around at 10pm Wednesday (31st) night, when the man drove his motorbike into the central reservation, near to the West One Retail Park in Eccles.
The man was taken to hospital however it has since been confirmed that he sadly later died.
Yesterday police had issued an appeal for witnesses, with the investigation continuing following today’s tragic news. Anyone who has dashcam footage from the night has been asked to come forward to Greater Manchester Police.

Sergeant Darren Hancock of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a tragic incident in which a man has sadly lost his life. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this horrendous time.
“Our investigations are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or those with information about what happened, to please get in touch with us.
“If you know something, even if it might seem small or insignificant, please contact us because it could be vital in allowing us to establish exactly what happened.”
