The annual Salford Quiz Night with the Ceremonial Mayor and Mayoress in aid of their charity appeal will be held Thursday 22nd February at the Buile Hill Park Hall at 19:30.
The Salford Quiz Night is an opportunity to raise money for different aspects of Salford, such as homelessness, mental health, research and education in children’s cancer.
Councillor Warmisham is the returning quizmaster for this year’s pub-style quiz night. The event will consist of ten rounds of ten questions based on general knowledge. It will also feature a marathon round, for example, to name as many American presidents as you can as they had in a previous year.
Ceremonial Mayor Peter Connor chose to support five charities this year with a variety of events, such as this quiz night. The profits made for the charities will be divided and disbursed in May.

“We’re raising funds for some worth while charities like Starting Salford that supports people with mental health issues, Kidscan which raises money to look at treatment for children’s cancer, and the Andrew Cook Music Fund,” said Michelle Lindsay, Senior Democratic Services Officer at the Ceremonial Mayor’s Office.
Grants can be given through the Andrew Cook Music Fund to high school pupils who want to get involved with music but their families can not afford to buy the instruments or for tutors.
The quiz night is open to the public to enter with a £10 ticket per team, and you can participate with up to 6 team members. To reserve a table contact Michelle Lindsay at the Ceremonial Mayor’s office.
