A Muslim charity is helping Manchester’s homeless communities by launching a winter ‘Wrap Up’ campaign. The Human Appeal campaign calls for members of the public to donate coats and other items of clothing to the charity who will be handing them out to homeless shelters and organisations across the UK. Appearing at Manchester Piccadilly station at the start of the appeal on November 13, Human Appeal began the second year of the Wrap Up Manchester campaign by collecting more than 600 coats.

Samra Said, Project Manager at Human Appeal, said: “The main thing for us is about starting the conversation about this issue and ensuring that, in the run up to Christmas, people engage in these small acts of kindness. “Human Appeal empower all communities to come together through Wrap Up Manchester to help those most in need.” The charity has also been involved in raising money and providing support for the Manchester Arena attack victims and Grenfell Tower Victims, as well as holding a presence in 25 countries worldwide.
