Manchester United are set to visit the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea city for the last round of 16 in the Carabao Cup tonight.
The reds will be playing off the back of a shock defeat on Saturday which saw them lose 2-1 to Huddersfield Town. Struggling to score goals and without a win in two games, United will be keen to bounce back against a deflated Swansea team.
The Swans have won just two in their last five matches with their most recent defeat coming at the weekend to managerless Leicester City. Boss, Paul Clement hopes Swansea can turn their fortunes around in the match tonight.
“We are really looking forward to facing United again and we’re glad the game has come around quickly after Leicester.”

After publicly slamming the attitude of his Manchester United team following Saturday’s result, Jose Mourinho will be hoping his team can shake off any negative feeling heading into the competition.
The Portuguese manager has an impressive record in the League Cup, winning the trophy four times-a joint record with Brian Clough and Sir Alex Ferguson. United will seek to emulate their previous run out in the cup which saw them sail past Burton Albion 4-1.
The all-premier league match-up will be only the second time these two teams have come head to head in a cup competition. The only previous occasion saw Swansea win 2-1 in 2015, knocking the red devils out of the FA cup during David Moyes’ tenure at Old Trafford.
The current cup holders will be eager for a repeat of their most recent visit to South Wales, winning 0-4 in the premier league earlier this season. United scored three goals within four minutes to seal the victory in August.
Team news
The result on Saturday was compounded with more bad news for Mourinho, as Phil Jones went off in the first half after sustaining a suspected muscle injury. Despite this, the England international has travelled with the team to Wales.
The list of names that will be unavailable for United include Fellaini, Ibrahimovic and French midfielder Paul Pogba, who remains side-lined with his hamstring injury. Mourinho has teased that Michael Carrick, Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo could make a return to the squad which would bolster the team spirits.
Tonight could provide players like Sergio Romero, Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian, who have all been named in the provisional squad, with an opportunity to stake a claim in the team and impress the manager.
Paul Clement will be without, Bartley, Renato Sanches and Wilfried Bony to call upon for selection due to injury, while Leroy Fer is will miss the game due to suspension.
