OLDHAM Roughyeds will need to significantly raise their performance in tomorrow’s Summer Bash fixture against Rochdale Hornets at Bloomfield Road.
Head coach Scott Naylor was hugely disappointed with his charges after their 48-28 loss to Batley Bulldogs at Manchester Regional arena on Sunday.
He said: “It’s probably the hardest one to take this year if I’m perfectly honest with you.”

“We just seem to be mentally a little unstable when we go out on the pitch.”
The Roughyeds received a further blow in the match, when Phil Joy left the field with an injury which will rule him out for the remainder of the season. The prop was making his first appearance since dislocating his shoulder three months ago.
Today’s announcement that the club have signed Luke Adamson from Dewsbury has bolstered the squad though, and the former Super League player is expected to feature in tomorrow’s match.

Rochdale also head to Blackpool in poor form. The Hornets have lost every match since the two sides last met in a 26-all draw at the Crown Oil Arena on March 12.
