Rachel Foy spoke to secretary of Shock Radio, Rachel Williams, about being nominated for three ILSRAs.
Shock Radio, the University of Salford’s student radio station, has been nominated for three I love student radio awards; Best Training Initiative, Best Audience Initiative and Most Improved Radio Station.
The Student Radio Association (SRA) is a representative body which supports and acts on behalf of the UK student radio community. The award scheme they have created showcases radio stations that are associated with or linked to a place of education, which exist to encourage and facilitate communication between student stations.
The I Love Student Radio awards (ILSRA) scheme celebrates the talent within the UK student radio industry, and has been held annually since 1995 and supported by BBC Radio 1, the ASRA and Global Radio.
It aims to celebrate the commitment and contributions of individuals to student radio. It is those people and stations who go the extra mile, putting in time effort and creativity behind the scenes, and whose commitment to student radio is unprecedented.
