The Albert Hall welcomes Kaluki Music and their Smoke Signals tour for an epic night of techno music.
Following the successful New Year’s Day sell out event, Warehouse Project and Kaluki Musik teamed up again to bring back the madness at the Grade 2 listed building of the Albert Hall in Manchester.
Kaluki Musik returned with their Smoke Signals Tour.
Not even the heavy rain could put off the two thousand plus strong ravers ascending to the heart of Manchester for the sell-out event.
Unlike most music events, Manchester’s Albert hall offers a unique venue experience with its sloping floor, horse shoe balcony and high rise roof compromised of glass rooflights.
Kaluki Musik, the Manchester based record label harbours an arsenal of music artists and did not disappoint. Compared to their new year’s day line up with the likes of Patrick topping, WaFF and Joseph Capriati, kaluki Musik drafted in heavy weights such as Steve Lawler and Richy Ahmed.
Pete Zorba and Pirate copy set the mood for the rest of the night as the Albert Hall filled with rain soaked guests awaiting the ‘big gun’ artists.
Darius Syrossian is coming off a great month having played on the new year’s day Kaluki event, venues throughout the U.K, but also recently elating crowds over in Australia.

Fans where graced for a moment or two as Steve Lawler was joined by Ahmed and Syrossian as the trio threw their hands to the crowd, anything to see those three play a set together.
The B2B set of Ahmed and Syrossian could only be described as beautifully lethal to the ears. Bass drops and synths echoed through the hall to the extreme delight of the crowd.
There was general consensus with the crowd about the overcrowding of the venue. Questionable over selling of the event lead to extremely hot and stuffy conditions inside, fairly long waiting queues for the bar and the inability to move freely between the floors in the venue.
Two fans, Craig Thompson and Paul Tate travelled from Newcastle for the event. Paul said “We love Manchester, partially the Albert Hall as it is a cracking venue”.
Craig added: “upstairs was definitely too hot to endure for a long period of time, absolute sweat box” – “Steve Lawler was crazily good like, should have given him a three hour set”.
Overall the overcrowding of the venue did dampen some moods but the general consensus for the night was ‘please can we have Kaluki back at the Albert hall again’.
