Manchester Christmas Markets are luring hordes of intrigued buyers and sellers from across the world to the annual festive attraction.
Launched in 1991, the Christmas Markets are home to a wide variety of international products that bring some cultural flair to Manchester. They are located right in the middle of the city center of Manchester.
The manager of one of the German bars that sets up here every year explained how it’s always very busy because people love the sausage and beer.
He said: “We’re hoping that the rain won’t scare the customers away’ she said hopefully, although this seems to have a large impact on the popularity of the stall; ‘Last year was not so good, but this year we will see.”
Customer Danny Townley, 27, said: “‘Oh yeah, they’re a great place to come and chill’ he explained. ‘They’re always full of life, even if it is raining most of the time.”

Mr Townley also said: “It’s pretty great seeing the variety of different people from all round the world here. I think that’s what makes people come so often.”
The stalls are home to all manner of things, including places to eat, new clothes, arts and crafts, and of course plenty of bars to enjoy with your friends.
The stalls are open until December 20, except for the main markets in Albert Square which will remain open until the 21st, just in time for Christmas.
